Revolution Premiers Monday on NBC 10/9c
A new mystery action-adventure family post-Armageddon warfare, science fiction show called “[”Revolution":http://www.nbc.com/revolution/]" premier’s tonight on NBC. NBC hired " J.J. Abrams of “Lost” and Eric Kripke, who created “Supernatural” to produce the show which stars Tracy Spiridakos from Majority Rule as Charlie Matheson.
After an Electronic Pulse like disaster, all electronic machines no longer work. Charlie grew up in a ruined world that doesn’t know why the power went out. When the brutal forces of General Monroe show up 15 years after the blackout, she learns that her parents may have known why the power went out. With her asthmatic brother “Danny” captured by General, Monroe’s army—a former friend of her Uncle. Charlie seeks to free him while discovering the secrets of the past and an underground movement that may know how to restore the power and bring back the good old USA.
Charlie travels with a sword-fighting former Marine Uncle “Billy”, a former Google employee “Aaron” and her Mother in-law and healer Rachel Matheson (played by Lost’s Elizabeth Mitchell. The cast is rounded out by Nora, a rebel fighter battling against the militia and Grace who has something very surprising in her basement. Grace is played by veteran actress Maria Howell. JD Pardo stars as Nate, a member of the Monroe militia with conflicted feelings for Charlie. Militia leader Captain Tom Neville played by Giancarlo Esposito from AMC’s Breaking Bad.
The show seems to being shooting for Jerricho but with some mysteries that may mean it’s shooting a bit higher (e.g., Lost). There are a lot of threads in this show and will just have to see if the producer can keep us interested and not confused.
