Haven Season Three Starts Off With a Bang 10/9c Fridays
Emily Rose star of Syfy’s Haven promised that the long wait between Season II and III would be worth it and she was right! The series had become a bit too routine in Season II, a new trouble per week format with little new information about the mysterious town. There were a few more mysteries but few answers to the show’s original premise. The series opener gave a better proportion of answers, new mysterious and new twists. The relationship between the three main characters-Audrey, Nathan and Duke has always been a strength of the show and the opener gave us more twists and deepens the intensity of what was already some of the best chemistry on TV. In short, it was a fan’s dream.
Promos for this season prove that this season will give us a lot answers to Haven’s most burning questions. The show’s producer has also promised that this year would be “very satisfying and strange”, and that certainly the best way to sum up the Season III opener. If you assumed that the “troubled” are under some sort of spell, the opener just might make you question that assumption. You can find interviews with the cast and the show’s producer’s here which include some information about what to expect this season.
In the season opener, Audrey Parker is kidnapped and finds a message she wrote to herself 27 years ago. We learn a little more about the Colorado Kid and about the alien hypothesis that has been discussed on some message boards. This season we’ll also tell us a lot more about the mysterious tattoos that cover some of Haven’s inhabitants.
Finally, this season also promises to have some interesting guest stars (e.g., Claudia Black – Farscape, Stargate SG1).
Haven airs Fridays 10/9c on the SyFy channel.
